World Vision raises private and public funds. Contributions come from child sponsors, private donors, businesses, foundations and government grants. Gifts-in-kind such as food, commodities, clothing and medicines are also donated by corporations or government agencies.
Money is raised across the globe, with countries and donors in the Asia-Pacific region playing a key fundraising role. In the Asia-Pacific region there are tens of thousands of child sponsors that come from countries including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
