Why World Vision?

Corporate Social Responsibility makes sense when it makes a difference. World Vision offers you a chance to help Asia’s poorest children in a way that changes their lives and reaches your Corporate Social Responsibility goals.

Children are at the heart of all World Vision does, so it you want to help Asia’s children, World Vision is an engaging partner for your company.

World Vision has local offices and local staff in all Asian countries except Bhutan. We have years of experiencing providing sustainable community based programmes that lift children and communities out of poverty.
When the 2004 tsunami struck, Asian individuals and corporations responded like never before. Almost 300,000 people and businesses gave $50 million to World Vision and 11 Asian governments gave grants worth $3.8 million.

As one of the world’s largest privately funded charities, we understand transparent business practices and the need to be fully accountable for all gifts. Each office and program undergoes a rigorous audit. We report back to all donors on how we use their funds.

As one of the world’s largest privately funded charities, we understand transparent business practices and the need to be fully accountable for all gifts. Each office and program undergoes a rigorous audit. We report back to all donors on how we use their funds.

But the real value of World Vision is our dedicated staff and our passion to give children life in all its fullness.

We offer many ways for corporates to be involved. In the Philippines, one corporate is sponsoring over 5000 children. In India Banks, pharmaceuticals and IT companies are funding rebuilding efforts after the Tsunami. This includes shelter, economic development and micro enterprise finance. In Thailand a corporate supports a children’s trauma centre.

We also have payroll deductions schemes whereby employees sponsor children both with and without matching funds from the company.

If you would like to explore how you can invest in programmes to help Asian children or would like advice on how to develop your Corporate Social Responsibility strategy please contact us.
